TAFF TIDY
Taff Tidy was born to bring together people to clean one river for one hour and set a new world record.
We know that one cleanup won’t change the world, but it will change how we see our impact within the world, and with our legacy projects, enable more people to change their behaviours in protecting nature.
On 21 March 2025 Dr Numair Masud, an expert in freshwater health, and me, Kate Strong, multiple world record holding cyclist & behavioural change expert are teaming up to highlight the importance of working together to protect our river systems.
Dr NUMAIR MASUD is an early career freshwater scientist at Cardiff University and human rights activist, particularly focusing on LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees.
KATE STRONG is a multi world record holding cyclist, ex world champion triathlete, climate activist, author and passionate about behavioural change.
Kate & Numair represent an unlikely pairing; a world renowned athlete born in Wales with an immigrant freshwater scientist who sought asylum in the UK.
They realise the essential nature of intercultural and interdisciplinary dialogue and collective action to deal with urgent global issues, such as freshwater security, which Taff Tidy champions.
We both are volunteering our time and 100% of all funds raised are invested into the Taff Tidy Legacy projects.
Thanks to you, on 21 March, we made history – buy your World Record certificate here.
