Every year, up to 12 million tons of plastic ends up in the oceans. Littler left on our coastlines ends up in our river systems and ultimately the ocean and harms our wildlife – both on land and in the water.
We need to reduce the amount of pollution created, as well as remove the waste that already exists through regular cleanups such as this one.
Next time you’re walking along a beach, a local park or in the countryside, why not take a litter picker and bag with you and spend 10 minutes out of your day to leave the space a little bit better than you found it.
